Iwona Bińczycka-Kołacz, ur. 28.05.1977 roku w Krakowie, absolwentka Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego, doktor nauk humanistycznych, dziennikarka. Z zawodu nauczycielka języka polskiego. Autorka kilku publikacji naukowych. Za sprawą powieści „Znak ostrzegawczy” została finalistką II edycji konkursu Literacki Debiut Roku organizowanego przez Wydawnictwo Novae Res pod honorowym patronatem Ministerstwa Kultury. Debiutowała w 2013 roku opowiadaniem „Dziewczyna w Kożuchu”, które zajęło III miejsce w V Międzynarodowym Konkursie Literackim LIBERIUM ARBITRIUM w kategorii o Tuchowie. Jej opowieść „Dialogi z czarnym Platonem” została wyróżniona w konkursie literackim magazynu kulturalno-literackiego Szuflada.net. Współorganizatorka Światowego Spotkania Bractw i Stowarzyszeń św. Jakuba 2013, gromadzącego miłośników wędrówek do Santiago de Compostela. Koordynator Małopolskiego Biegu Drogą św. Jakuba. W wolnych chwilach oddaje się ulubionemu zajęciu – pisaniu bajek dla kilkuletniego synka.
